- Must hold a certificate of competency as Master of foreign going ship issued by the Ministry of shipping, Govt. of India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of Shipping, Govt. of India.
- Must hold Pilot licence and have experience of 8 years either as Master of foreign going ship or in Piloting or cumulative

- The names of eligible and willing officers, who satisfy the provisions of recruitment rules for the above mentioned post, may be forwarded together with their applications in the prescribed format (Annexure-II), alongwith the following documents to this office on or before 29/10/2018 :-
- Attested copies of ACRs of the applicant for the last 5 years.
- Attested copies of all certificates.
- No Objection Certificate of respective Ports.
- An undertaking of the applicant not to withdraw, if selected.
- Vigilance / Administrative clearance of the concerned Port in the Proforma prescribed by the Ministry (Annexure-III)
